Along a lonesome road.
The trees were bent with weariness,
Plants were still as stone.
The ground lay silent in my wake,
Moonlight cold as bone.
Deep into the earth I sank,
In search of secret solitude.
Clouds of gray, like drifting ghosts,
Up and skyward bound.
With a lilting melody,
Only then could she be found.
Then from the heaven poured acid rain,
Upon a desolate land.
From the fields of wheat she rose,
A star clutched in her hand.
Then slowly, she looked down on me,
And there my dance began.
